#throwback! This picture is a throwback to last years golf tourney! We missed it so much this year! We love hosting this FUN event! This is a great way to play some golf for a meaningful cause!

What is your favorite memory of the Wigged Out’s Annual Golf Tournament?
Meet Mary.

Mary, 63, was diagnosed with COVID back in July. She was in the hospital for a week. Six weeks ago, she began loosing her hair. Her doctors told her it is an effect of her battle with COVID.

“I find myself to be more depressed, my confidence has taken a step back. I don’t want my family to see the condition of my hair, especially around the holidays. I feel everyone is staring at me, and I don’t want to go anywhere, not even work.” - Mary

Thanks to everyone helping🥰!!! Season of giving!

In honor of #givingtuesday Wigged Out is happy to announce #seasonofgiving. We were super bummed we had to cancel our golf tournament this year but excited to announce this season of giving!

We will be posting throughout the month of December some highlights over the past year! Because of all your generous donations we have been able to help women get their confidence back through wigs. We are so thrilled to provide these women with the financial help to purchase wigs, hair accessories, halos, and shampoo kits.

Meet Jennifer.

Jennifer has had a tough year. Her son was diagnosed with Cerebal Palsy earlier this year, and her home was damaged by a wildfire. The stress from that, compounded with Covid, has caused her telogen effuvium(TE) to flare up, resulting in hair loss.

She shared, "Unfortunately, losing so much of my hair has caused a lot of anxiety and I no longer have the desire to do the fun social things I use to do. I purchased a halo to help, however my hair is now too thin to use my halo and I feel as if a wig would truly help my self confidence and just help me feel better! I know it is just hair and I count my blessings it's nothing more, but the truth it affects how you feel. We have family pictures coming up and I would not only love a wig for that reason, but for every day wear. I know it would relieve a lot of anxiety having one."
🥰🥰 During this #GivingTuesday and throughout this holiday season, we ask that you consider including Wigged Out in your charitable contributions.

Due to COVID-19, we were unable to have our annual golf tournament and largest fundraiser of the year. We are relying solely on the thoughtful gifts provided by each of you to allow us to continue to provide wigs to women and children throughout 2021.

On average, we donate anywhere from 4-10 wigs per WEEK. To give you an idea of what that looks like:

Hair Accessories: $50
Hair Halo: $100
Wig: $250
Monthly: $5,000

Every little bit counts and we cannot thank you enough for your continued support of our organization. It means the world to us and so much more to the women and children’s lives we are able to touch.

Rose Ann was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia back in June. It's been a whirl wind of treatment since then, resulting in the loss of her hair. She owns a small business that was forced to shut down due to COVID-19, but she is hopeful that she will be able to reopen after she recovers.

She shared with:

“ My hair has always been my "thing". I had a very thick head of very curly spiral ringlet hair, which people would consistently compliment and comment on. It was part of my identity. I understand that it will grow back with time, but it would give me greater confidence and help me feel more like myself wearing a wig."

Marilyn began treatment for a medical condition two years ago. The medication doctors put her ultimately caused her to lose her hair. She shared with us, "I am very self conscious about my hair, and am getting more stressed when is see my hair all over the house, my car, and my clothes."

If you swipe over you’ll see the beautiful wig Marilyn found @classysisterswigs. Marilyn’s smile says it all.

Kimberly has been fighting breast cancer for the last 5 years. Her treatment and medications have caused hair loss, and she has experienced quite a few other health issues in the recent past due to other conditions as well. She went to @classysisterswigs to find a wig and some accessories to help her feel more confident.

In her application she shared the following, "I’m depressed about how I look. I don’t feel comfortable leaving the house without a wig or hat to cover the very little hair I have. I’m very insecure “.

Thank you to everyone who supported our event last week @themadisonscottsdale @themadisontempe @themadisonphx and all our events throughout the year. You make it possible for us to help amazing women like Kimberly.
